Thousands of beer aficionados  descended on Earls Court in London to sample the best brews that Britain has to offer. The event will run until the 7th August and features over 700 real ales, ciders and Foreign beers, so get yourself down there if you can.

By far and away the biggest story for those in the East Midlands is that local brewery Castle Rock won ‘Champion Beer of Britain’ for the extremely popular ‘Harvest Pale’ Ale 3.8%

Hats off to Adrian Redgrove and his Team over at Castle Rock Brewery for winning the award, we feel it is thoroughly deserved.

Harvest Pale is available in 9g and 18g containers through Libra Drinks, although due to this latest news, we expect demand to hit an all time high so shortages are to be expected in the near future. Once the new brewery is up and running in a couple of weeks, Castle Rock will be able to satisfy the huge demand for their champion beer.
