Product description
Only the golden yellow kernels of the best barley are processed into malt. The malting process is the first step in preparing the barley for the subsequent brewing process, allowing the starches in the extract-rich malted barley to be converted into sugar during brewing. The hops are responsible for the smooth bitter taste of Konig Pilsener. This is why our master brewers searched long and hard to find the hop cones with the finest aroma. They found what they were looking for in one of the most tradition-rich growing areas of Germany, the Hallertau area of Bavaria. Mineral-rich water from the Hohe Mark Nature Park, one of the largest nature reserves in North Rhine-Westphalia, is another important ingredient of our refined product. Strictly monitored at all times, our hops, our malt, our long experience and our passion refine our beer into Konig Pilsener, the king of beers. "Love of detail" is the secret of Konig Pilsener's success and the guiding principle behind all our actions. But in the end, it is the attention to detail and passionate commitment of our people that make the pilsener from Duisburg-Beeck the king of beers.
